Administrative Secretariat of the Notified Bodies (European Commission - DG GROW)

Organisation of the meetings of the coordination groups for Notified Bodies.
Team DC supports the Administrative Secretariat of the Notified Bodies and provides all logistic and organisational services (accommodation, catering, interpretation, badges and all equipment for participants) for the organisation of the meetings of Notified Bodies in various EU Member States. 
The Member States are responsible for designating these bodies, which cooperate with the support of the European Commission to acquire full understanding of the procedures and obligations resulting from application of Regulations and Directives relating to them, and guarantee proper, uniform application of their technical provisions.
The Administrative Secretariat carries out all work relating to the preparation, organisation and monitoring of the coordination group meetings, including online meetings. The secretariat also works on the computerized management of the groups through the specific sites on the Commission’s CIRCABC site, i.e. the management of the Notified Body Coordination Groups’ related sites, providing assistance at the users’ requests, including training of the users, as appropriate.

Global Evaluation Training Initiative (GETI 2016), Hellenic Evaluation Society

Team DC co-organised with the Hellenic Evaluation Society, the Global Evaluation Training Initiative (GETI 2016).

GETI provided policy makers, commissioners of evaluations and evaluators from all over the world, targeted training, sharing of best practice and effective networking opportunities and delivers practical learning and advice for carrying out evaluations and aims to:
  • Help building a global evaluation community sharing the same vision about what the evaluation aims to accomplish.
  • Reduce the negative considerations of evaluation.
  • Acquire methodological insights for all stages of the evaluation cycle.

The GETI 2016 seminars and workshops gathered worldwide attendees in Athens, Greece, providing them a unique opportunity to strengthen their evaluation and policy planning skills, exchange experiences and networking.

Training Course on Developing a Defence in Depth Approach for the Detection of Transboundary Movement of Nuclear and Radioactive Material out of Regulatory Control, Athens, Greece, 7-10 July 2015

The aim of the training course was to provide strong foundations for developing a strategy to
combat movements of RN materials out of regulatory control. TEAM DC supported with the provision of local hostesses for the welcoming of the sponsored participants at the event venue to support them with the reimbursement of the per diems, and travel arrangements.

Support to the Technological & cultural Park of Lavrion for the implementation of the Longlife Learning project (Key Activity 3 : ICT )”Technological Parks for Innovation and Trans-European Cooperation” (2008-2009)

The main aim of the project was to support the Technological Parks and their current and future clients to enhance their operation, to help future enterprises establish their business in technological areas and to show the possibilities of technological parks to the assisting bodies (universities, incubators, chambers) to support the creation of Technological Parks based on good practices through Trans-European Cooperation. TEAM DC provided support to the development of the main project deliverables (manual, guides and training material) and the organisation of events under the implementation of the project.

Organisation of the 15th EU-NGO Forum on Human Rights , Brussels, 5-6 December 2013

TEAM DC supported the organisation of the event with the production of visibility material, conference badges and kits.

TEAM DC supported the organisation of the event with the communication and the visibility of the event. The services provided include the production of photographs of the event and the production of a video.

Organisation of a high visibility event for Erasmus Mundus Action 2 in South Africa

The specific objective of the assignment was to raise awareness and communicate the results to date of Erasmus Mundus Action 2 in South Africa by supporting the EU Delegation to South Africa and the DHET in the organisation of a high visibility pre-departure conference and dinner for the South African recipients of scholarships during 2013 and an alumni colloquium for previous scholarship recipients (Cape Town, SA). TEAM DC provided support to the organisation of the visibility activities .

Organisation and Management of Visibility Activities of EU Grant Programmes: EIDHR CBSS and NSA-LA in Development, Indonesia

TEAM DC provided support to the organisation of the visibility activities (promotional material, visibility material, advertisments in newspapers). Three events were organised in Jakarta, Medan and Surabaya. The events were attended by a total of 400 participants representing NGOs, research institutions, universities, community/ mass-based organisations, state institutions, independent political foundations, other non-profit making institutions in the area of human rights and democracy advocacy, local NSA platforms and associations at national and local levels, local NSA at national and local levels and Indonesia-based EU NSA, local research institutes and universities, and local trade unions.

Organisation of the photography exhibitions

TEAM DC provided support to the organisation of two photography exhibitions that took place in Brussels, Belgium (European Parliament and Galleria of DEVCO) under the theme "Algérie - Regards Croisés".

Organisation of side event in the framework of the ONE HEALTH CONGRESS 2011, Australia

The ONE HEALTH CONGRESS  focused on the disease risks and challenges brought about by the interactions between animals, humans and the environment. TEAM DC provided support to the EU contractors for the organisation of the EU side events and the operation of the EU booth.

Health Sector Support Programme India

The subject of the event was to bring together 150 high level Indian and EU officials and representatives, EU Member State Governments, and other actors involved in the health sector in India. TEAM DC provided support with the production of conference kits and various visibility items and promotional material, including professional design in accordance with the EU visibility rules.

Organisation of the first Euro-Maghrebian photographers' residency in Sfax and the photography exhibitions on the theme

TEAM DC provided support to the organisation of a photographers' residency in Sfax, Tunisia, bringing together photographers from the EU and North-West Africa. After a week spent in Sfax (photo shooting), two photo exhibitions have been organised in Tunis and Sfax on the theme "Le Projet Sfax".
